Pattaya's skyline isn't huge, but the few rooftop bars worth visiting deliver some of Thailand's best sunset views. Four to know:
34th floor of the Hilton Pattaya, directly above Central Festival. Full Pattaya Bay panorama, professional cocktail program, live percussion at sunset, DJ until late on weekends. Smart-casual dress code. Reservations recommended weekends.
Free entry, drink minimum (~฿600 spend per person). Venue page →
Cliff-top open-air restaurant on the south side of Pratumnak. Best sunset spot in the city — west-facing over Cosy Beach. Mediterranean menu, live acoustic act around 19:00. Less polished than Hilton, more atmospheric. Book ahead for the cliff edge tables.
Free entry. Mains ฿400–฿900.
Boutique hotel rooftop, less famous than Hilton. Smaller, quieter, mostly hotel guests and in-the-know locals. Great for couples wanting something less scene-y.
The oddball pick. Not strictly a "rooftop" — it's a beachfront water-park resort with a sunset deck and bar program facing the bay. Family-friendly, but the bar program after 19:00 turns adult.
Hilton Horizon on the 34th floor has the best skyline view, full Pattaya Bay panorama, and the most polished cocktail program. Sky Gallery on Pratumnak has the best sunset atmosphere.
Hilton Horizon enforces smart casual on weekends — no flip-flops, no sleeveless shirts on men. Most others are casual.
